There are a lot of telemedicine application available around and each one has its own unique features, compliances and licensing models. However, our client, a renowned telehealth service provider from the US, wanted to develop
a cloud based web and mobile application for telehealth consultation, with both audio and video features, where user can simply sign in and book an appointment by posting their current medical condition and previous case
history.
The application allows user to make an appointment by setting up all their current medical records and medical history after registration. The user has the option to book a slot for appointment based on their preferences like
date and time preference, current condition , current location etc.
User can opt for any mode of telehealth consultation – video or audio consultation. Once an appointment is booked by the user, it can be then picked up by any available doctors. The doctors can either accept or reject the appointment
after reviewing the patient records and past history. If rejected, the appointment is unlocked and can be picked up by another doctors who are available.
Once accepted, during the video or audio consultation, doctors will have provision to prepare their treatment plan which will be then saved under the patient’s medical history. During the consultation, the doctor can access
any past medical history or treatment plan if needed.
Post pandemic world sees a greater demand for a virtual way to consult with healthcare providers. Telemedicine allows patients to consult with the best doctors from around the world. The application we built, makes it so easy to consult with physicians from the comfort of user’s home and with a click of a couple of buttons, which is of immense help especially for elderly people.
The registration and consultation process of most telemedicine app is complicated with several steps to follow
Most telemedicine app provides phone number to consult with physicians without in app audio/video facility.
Most telemedicine app users use pen and paper to make a treatment plan for their patient and send them over image sharing media such as Whatsapp or Telegram.
Most telemedicine app does not accept insurance as a payment which forces users to pay using cash or plastic money.
Most telemedicine app does not have a proper medication tracker for patients and doctors for future reference.
Most telemedicine app does not have an option to transfer the appointment to another doctor in case the patient is not the right match for the doctor or vice versa.
The module allows patients to have a one time preference setup while booking an appointment, where they can fill all their medical, personal and payment information. With only very few options to answer, user can book an
appointment as all other informations are already available.
Patients can directly interact with the doctors via audio or video consultation mode without the need to share their personal information like phone numbers or whatsapp numbers. All communication are done digitally maintaining
users privacy.
The application suggests names of doctors most suitable for treating a particular disease based on the symptoms, keywords and details of the ailment provided by the patient while booking an appointment.
The application keeps records of medications for future reference and sends out push notifications as reminders for patients to take their medicine on time.
During the consultation physicians can make treatment plan with the help of the treatment plan module which automatically generates a reports and get stored under the user’s account.
The application integrated with third party services, connects your insurance details over api and accepts that as payment method.
The application allows the patients to register by simply filling up their medical records, upload prescriptions and any other suggestions from their past doctors.
The telemedicine app comes with options to book an appointment with audio or video consultation.
One time configuration setup with just basic personal details makes it very easy for elderly patients During the booking of an appointment only few necessary questions are asked to keep the process simple.
User can add their insurance details along with the application. The app allows user to pay their medical expenses through their medical insurance.
The location feature allows users to be matched with the most suitable doctor from the nearest location, unless they specifically choose to see a doctor from a particular location.
All medical data and treatment plan prepared by the user and doctors during an appointment are stored digitally in the cloud. Doctors can publish digital prescriptions which are acceptable within the medical fraternity.
The application allows user to add family members as dependant accounts who can book an appointment on behalf of them.
The application meets all regulations and compliance laid by Hipaa.
The app allows patients and doctors to track medication prescribed for future reference.
The built in chat allows a smooth communication between patient and doctor during a video or audio consultation.
Onshore Business Analysts from DreamzTech interviewed stakeholders from client premises and gathered requirements for the project. They worked with offshore Business Analyst and Solution Architects for analyzing the business
objectives as discussed with the client.
The dedicated team assigned to the project analyzed the objectives of the project and the probable solutions to determine technologies to be used, database structure, data flow, and microservices. For developing an application
compatible with Android and iOS, we planned to segregate the project into multiple phases with separate deadlines.
