Data is the new oil they say and almost all the leading businesses across the globe are trying to capture and optimize the power of data for more informed business policies, strategies and decisions. There are plethora of data
visualization tools available in the market that can very well play with data. However what most tools can’t do is cent percent optimization of data and prevent unnecessary exposure of data.
Companies can easily deploy power BI tools but the major concern is the prevention of fraud, leakage breach of data. Our client, one of the leading international courier and express mail provider from the US faced similar type
of challenges with their data. They need a solution with data visualizations and business intelligence capabilities with simple interface to create their own reports and dashboards.
They were on the lookout to modify their existing data access and presentation process to let allow members to access specific data based on user role, proper visualization of data through reports from a common platform, and to
automate the process of reading and processing of data. Power BI tools can make it easier to use data and gain a granular understanding of important business metrics. They can hence use reporting data to make better decisions.

The BI reporting tools help in gaining proper analysis of the data through accurate visualizations, dashboards, reports, etc. and present a genuine picture of the Key Performance Metrics (KPIs), operational efficiencies, new income
avenues, new opportunities, trends and patterns and much more.
The application allows members to access specific data based on user role, proper visualization of data through reports from a common platform, and to automate the process of reading, processing leads data. The client modified
their existing operations and integrated POWER BI reporting tool to provide an improved user experience.
Existing dashboard has no access specific restriction and any user can view data. Role based access to data was not defined within their existing process of data visualization.
Caratula Tool excel based reporting system has no rule based access on territories causing trouble to manager to access specific data.
Tedious and time consuming process of manually download, upload and manage data.
Information related to delivery and shipments couldn’t be communicated via an automated process. Shipments related email communication was not automated either.
No consolidated space to view all reports.
Implemented low level security as per user role using DAX.
Implemented new slicer as filter on territory to provide scope to managers to access the reporting tool and filter the data according to their needs. Slicer were added on all pages of the Caratula excel based reporting system,
which allow users to filter by territory.
Developed SSIS service to run at specific time to read and prepare lead and members data automatically.
An integrated and interactive dashboard that deploys all key components of a power query, power pivot, power view and power map.
Implemented automatic email to improve the communication with client and information about a particular shipment.
Developed all reports using Power BI and made available from single platform using dashboard and reports.
Using DAX, we provided a Row Level Security solution whereas per user role dashboard data is visible. The solution helps the client to stop unnecessary data exposure to all users.
Our team added a new filter (slicer) in all pages of the Caratula excel based reporting system, which will allow users to filter by territory. The solution helps the manager to access the reporting tool and filter the data
according to their needs.
Developing analytical data reports using the Power BI platform to achieve the goal with the smart intuitive presentation. Common platform improved user accessibility of the reports. RLS helps the client to stop unnecessary
data exposure to all users. Smart and intuitive design improves more user acceptance.
The modified login process enables data access based on user roles. It was designed in a way that both lower-level users, managers and admin level users can log in and get access to the role specific data.
Our team has created an SSIS package that reads the excel file and saves the data in the database. Then it executes a stored procedure that reads the data from the database, replaces dynamic contents in the email body, and
sends it to respective persons. This automated process now improves client communication dramatically.
The data visualization tool comes with an excel file that is shared with all LQ members. Each LQ member has a username and password to access this file. Each day LQ members have to log in to this excel file to get the list
of all leads which are assigned to them for that particular date. As a result, the manager does not need data fitting, assigning, and emailing to LQ members manually each day. The entire process gets automated. It helps
to save time and effort and increase efficiency.
Our team has developed a process (an SSIS service) that will run at a specific time and read all the leads from the database, read the LQ team member list from the excel file and then assign those LQ members against those leads
(according to temperature) and save them back to the database.
Onshore Business Analysts from DreamzTech interviewed stakeholders from client premises and gathered requirements for the project. They worked with offshore Business Analyst and Solution Architects for analyzing the business objectives
as discussed with the client.
The dedicated team assigned to the project analyzed the objectives of the project and the probable solutions to determine technologies to be used, database structure, data flow, and microservices. Agile Project plan and backlog
document and sprints are planned.
Our team consisting of Project Managers, Tech Leads, Designers, Developers, and Quality Analysts worked with the client for 7 months to deploy first alpha and continued for over 3 years following Agile methodology to release multiple
versions and updates.
